Week 10

Hello fellow bloggers! I have some big news... I bought three fish! This was a very impulsive decision, but I thought it would be fun to have some apartment-friendly pets. I ended up in the pet store because one of my friends wanted to get some fish, but she decided against it, and I decided I was going to get a few of the 16-cent goldfish.  I'm not expecting them to last forever solely based off of their price, but their purpose is to just provide a little bit of happiness for however long they live. They still don't have any names, so if you have any ideas feel free to drop them in the comments.

We haven't had a track meet in two weeks and somehow, I'm more exhausted without them. We were supposed to have a track meet this weekend, but they ended up canceling it due to the weather. So, in lieu of a track meet, our coaches had us do an intra-squad mixed-gender relay race. We were broken up into groups for a 4x200 meter, 30-lap, and 5x400 meter relay races. We were all very cold, but I think we still had a great time racing for fun and for something that didn't mean anything.

After this practice, I decided that I wanted to make a quick trip home, I have been missing my puppy! It was a long, lonely drive but I am so glad I went. My family was very happy to have me back home for a few extra days since I didn't get to spend my spring break with them. I played with my dog and the new toys I got for her, and I let her sleep in my bed with me which is a special treat for her since she normally isn't allowed on our beds.

  1. I am excited that you got 3 fish! I would probably name them Cheerios, Cheetos, and Captain Crunch. I don't know if you like these names but hopefully they will help you start off with thinking of some. It does suck not having track meets and I feel your pain on feeling more tired and exhausted without having them. But the intera-squad mixed-gender relays were fun to watch even if the weather wasn't the nicest! But I am happy that you got to go home and see your dog! I miss mine too! Sometimes I have my family FaceTime me so I can just see my dog!

  2. I think buying apartment friendly pets was a great idea! My family used to go to the town carnival every 4th of July to win goldfish. They didn't last long, but it was a something I looked forward to every year. I hope your fish last longer than mine did! Goodluck with outdoor track season too! This weather has reminded me how much I don't miss playing an outdoor sport. Hopefully it starts to warm up soon.

  3. I love that you got some fish to make your apartment more inviting! I love that idea of having fish, I have been thinking about getting some myself, however, I will have my cat next semester as my ESA. Fish and cats do not mix well, haha. So I will have to wait to get some fish. Some names I suggest are bubbles, shrimp, and guppie. Some generic names but they were cute to me!

  4. That's so cool that you got fish!! My roommate and I thought about getting one too but maybe next year in our apartment we will. That's fun that you went home and spent some time with family and your dog. I feel like it's been forever since I've been home. Glad you had a good week!!

  6. That's so sick that you got 3 fish. My family never let me get a fish because they said I wouldn't take care of it. And your so lucky you are able to go home and see your dog I wish I lived close enough to drive home.
