Fall Break Update

Bloggers, this past weekend was a long one! ONU had their fall break this weekend and I was able to go home for a few days. I went almost everywhere I could think of over break.

Of course, I had to hit all of the staple Brookville spots. On Saturday, I spent almost the whole day with my brother's girlfriend, Josie. First, we went to Coffee On Main, the local coffee shop, then we headed to Canal Days in Metamora. Metamora was a stop along the Whitewater Canal, back in the old days, but in today's world, they are more of a tourist location. There are a few permanent shops in the town that primarily sell handmade goods year-round. However, every year on the first weekend of October they have a festival where the shops as well as other vendors who handmake goods and food trucks set up for the long weekend. So many people from near and far travel to Metamora every year to get ahead on their Christmas shopping, or they go just to shop! Josie and I walked around almost all day and even ate lunch from this Cajun food truck, it was so yummy!

On Sunday, I went to the outlet mall in Cincinnati with my boyfriend, Brandt. Neither of us were having much luck, but we still had fun walking around the mall and enjoying the weather. Since we were over that way, we decided to head over to my aunt and uncle's house to play with my younger cousins. Henry and Olivia were so excited to have a new friend to play soccer with! We played for a few hours, and everyone had a lot of fun.

Finally, Sunday night for dinner Brandt and I went to El Reparo, which is Brookville's local Mexican restaurant. There's always something special about going to your hometown Mexican restaurant. It is always so much better than any other Mexican place, and it is the best place to hang out with friends and family.

I was so busy this weekend that I forgot to take pictures to put with my post! But I did get one picture with Josie while we were shopping:)
